Oakwood Emergency Rescue Service has an opening for 2 Full-time EMTs.

Oakwood Emergency Rescue Service provides 911 coverage for Western Vermilion County as well as non-Emergency transfers from hospital to hospital.

Starting wage is $16.38 per hour.

Responsibilities: Administer emergency medical care and transport the sick and injured to the appropriate medical facility. Determine the nature and extent of illness and establish appropriate first aid. Monitor and manage equipment. Maintain the cleanliness of the units and crew’s quarters daily.

Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license, Illinois EMT license, and BLS Certification. Be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Ability to stay calm in stressful situations and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
